Thanks to its beauty drink formula, the nourishment contained in Biocollagenix is carried to the inner cells of the epidermis via the blood. What is Collagen?

Collagen is a natural component within the skin – in fact, it provides the skin’s structural support. It guarantees the strength, resistance, softness and firmness that are typical of young, healthy skin.

Collagen forms naturally over the course of our lives. However, over time, levels of Collagen production gradually fall, and it is this that causes wrinkles and sagging skin. Biocollagenix contains hydrolysed marine Collagen (type 1): this substance contains a wealth of amino acids (glycine, proline and hydroxyproline) that play an important role in collagen production but are not found in other sources of protein. It is rapidly absorbed as it is made up of peptides with a low molecular weight.

What is our skin made of?

Our skin is made up of 2 layers, the dermis (the deepest layer) – rich in Collagen type 1 fibres, which provide the skin with suppleness and resistance, and Hyaluronic Acid, which guarantees the right level of hydration – and the epidermis (the top layer). The epidermis is constantly renewing itself through a process of proliferation and differentiation that sees new cells, which are formed in the deepest layer, move up to the layers above until they themselves are shed.
